Synopsis
Gilbert and Sullivan light opera productions have been fare of theatres around the world for well over a century. The Mikado and The Pirates of Penzance are two of the most well known and loved among their vast volume of work. Long John McArdo is an amalgam of these plays, intertwining the main stories of both, and featuring their most well known songs. With a slightly updated score featuring contemporary rhythm and percussion parts, this show gives actors a feel for the traditional G&S experience but with more easily singable songs.
Medium cast which can be expanded with as many pirates and maidens as available. Compact disc with instrumental backing.
